Season 13 of Sea of Thieves: Burning Blade World Event and New Features

Season 13 of Sea of Thieves has officially launched, introducing a range of new content, including the thrilling Burning Blade world event, fresh Commendations and rewards, new items and cosmetics, and various updates. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the 3.1.0 Season 13 Patch:

Burning Blade World Event

The Burning Blade world event brings a formidable new adversary: a ten-cannon warship that poses a serious challenge for any crew. Defeating Captain Flameheart and his Obsidian Skeleton crew will allow you to commandeer the Burning Blade for yourself. As the new ship’s captain, you’ll gain access to powerful Obsidian Ashen Winds Skulls and Ashen Roar weaponry, along with skeletal followers of Flameheart to aid you.

Alternatively, you can choose to sink the Burning Blade and claim a significant bounty from its wreckage. Successful completion of this task rewards you with the new melee weapon, the Blade of Souls.

Skeleton Camps

Ancient temples across the map have been overtaken and converted into Flameheart’s skeleton camps. Explore these temples to solve puzzles and gain access to the Crypt Vault. What you find inside and how you use it will depend on whether you align with Flameheart or oppose him.

Commendations and Rewards

Aligning yourself with the Pirate Lord by sinking the Burning Blade will earn you the Obsidian Bone Crusher set. Conversely, supporting Flameheart will unlock the Burning Blade Reborn set. Additionally, orbs collected from Ancient Temples can be used to acquire the Cracked Orb Lantern and the Reaper’s Bones Shattered Mask.

Pirate Emporium New Items

The Pirate Emporium has been updated with new items:

  • Radiant Comet Ship Collection
  • Radiant Comet Weapon Bundle
  • Radiant Comet Lantern
  • Cloudburst, Treetop, Brightbill, Seaspray, and Sugarspun Toucan pets
  • Runway Emote Bundle
